Job description

The Role and the Team

The Partnerships Team at Blue Light Card is going through an exciting period of growth, and this Partner Manager role sits right at the heart of it. You\'ll own the commercial performance of a portfolio of retail partners, building the kind of trusted, long-term relationships that go well beyond transactional account management. You\'ll set the strategy for most of your accounts, using data, insight and market awareness to grow them. For the most senior partnerships, you\'ll work closely with a Category Lead - but you\'ll own the relationship and the day-to-day execution. This is a role for someone who genuinely enjoys nurturing a portfolio and finding new ways to grow it. If you\'re at your best managing regular, purposeful partner contact - and you\'re energised by hitting commercial targets rather than hunting for new logos - this is the right environment for you.

What You\'ll Do

  • Own the commercial performance of your managed accounts, using revenue and retail media growth as your primary measures of success

  • Develop and maintain joint business plans for your full portfolio, ensuring clear objectives and measurable growth plans are in place and followed through

  • Set and evolve account strategy using data, consumer insight and market conditions to identify growth opportunities and shape each partner proposition

  • Use the Offer Score Framework to prioritise the right commercial levers for each partner, whether offer strength, commission, retail media investment, or omni channel expansion

  • Build strong, trusted relationships across your managed accounts, proactively identifying opportunities, resolving challenges and delivering against agreed plans

  • Maintain an accurate commercial pipeline and revenue forecast, identifying risks early and putting clear action plans in place to stay on track

  • Collaborate closely with your category lead and new partner acquisition colleagues to ensure the right opportunities are progressed by the right person at the right time

  • Support the growth of the wider team by passing inbound new business leads to the appropriate colleague where they fall outside your focus area

What You\'ll Bring

  • Proven experience in account management or B2B relationship management, with a track record of owning a portfolio and driving revenue from it

  • Commercial awareness across the key drivers of partner performance, including commission structures, retail media, and account-level growth planning

  • Strong communication skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to clearly articulate your plans and progress to partners and internal stakeholders

  • Comfort using performance data and consumer insight to inform strategy and make sound commercial decisions

  • An organised, proactive approach - you plan well, follow through consistently, and adapt your strategy as results and conditions evolve

  • Experience in partnerships, affiliate or performance marketing, or a background in retail, FMCG, hospitality or consumer brands would be a bonus, but is not essential

Our Culture

Our mission is simple: make heroes happy. Our members are real-life heroes who keep us all safe, cared for, and thriving. It\'s what gets us up in the morning, what makes us want to think bigger, and create something that truly matters. By focusing on their happiness, we create amazing experiences, deliver unrivalled discounts, innovative products, and world-class service.

We don\'t just follow the usual path - we look for smarter, bolder ways to deliver real impact. We take ownership, move fast, and work shoulder to shoulder to build something special.

We promote hybrid working, and value in-person collaboration so encourage time in our offices - either the HQ in Leicestershire, or London, Holborn office. The frequency and office location will vary depending on the role and team. We aim to be flexible, but we aren\'t able to offer fully remote working.

Blue Light Card is an equal opportunities employer. We\'re committed to building a diverse and inclusive team where different perspectives and experiences help us grow, innovate, and better reflect the communities we serve. We make recruiting decisions based on your experience and skills. In the event of a high number of applications, we\'ll prioritise candidates who meet both the essential and desirable criteria for the role.
