Job Description

Partner/Legal Director – Private Client | £85k + | Bath | Hybrid Working

If you’re a Private Client specialist who’s ready for a fresh challenge — one where your voice is heard, your expertise is valued, and your work genuinely matters — keep reading!

One of the UK’s Top law firms is growing its exceptionally well-regarded Succession & Tax team in Bath. They’re on the lookout for someone at Partner or Director level to step into a central role. This isn’t just about a title — it’s about leading from the front in a firm that cares about people and long-term relationships, not just billing targets.

You’ll be advising on everything you’d expect in a high-level private client role: complex estates, trusts, tax planning, wills and LPAs, and cross- wealth structuring. But more than that, you’ll become a trusted advisor to families, entrepreneurs, and high-net-worth individuals—guiding them through life’s big transitions with clarity and care.

You’ll also have the chance to shape the future of the team. Mentoring junior lawyers, driving strategy, building client relationships—your ideas and leadership will have real impact here.

As for your background? If you’ve got solid technical expertise in trust and estate matters, some leadership experience under your belt, and ideally a STEP qualification (or similar), you’re probably a great fit. What really matters, though, is your client-first mindset and your ability to build lasting relationships.

This firm offers hybrid working as standard, a relaxed and modern office culture, and a genuinely flexible benefits package—think private medical, dental, health checks, and perks tailored to your lifestyle. You’ll also get to collaborate with a wider network of Private Client teams across other offices, with plenty of scope to stretch your wings.

If you're ready to join a team where you're encouraged to bring your full self to work—and where trust, quality, and community actually mean something—this could be the move you’ve been waiting for.
