Job summary

Qualifications

• Commercially driven corporate and commercial lawyer with significant partner-level experience.
• Ability to define practice direction, win new business and raise market profile.
• Capable of balancing hands-on client work with business development and profitability.
• Willing to participate in firm management, mentoring and strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

• Advise on acquisitions and disposals, MBOs/MBIs, restructurings, private equity, shareholder agreements, joint ventures, and commercial contracts.
• Lead, supervise and mentor fee-earners and support staff within the practice.
• Develop and implement business development initiatives to grow the firm’s corporate and commercial client base.
• Contribute to the firm’s strategy and long-term success as a visible practice ambassador.

You will advise on acquisitions and disposals, management buyouts and buy-ins, corporate restructuring, private equity investments, shareholder agreements, joint ventures, commercial contracts and other transactional matters, combining technical expertise with clear, practical advice that puts clients first.

Through supervision, mentoring and development, you will help fee-earners and support colleagues build their capabilities and contribute to a high-performing team. As a visible ambassador for the practice, you will bring people together, strengthen professional connections and champion the firm’s values.

You will help define the practice’s direction, develop new business and strengthen our market profile, positioning Harding Evans as a go-to adviser within our chosen sectors. Alongside growing your own client relationships, you will contribute to firm-wide strategy and turn commercial opportunities into sustainable growth.

You will balance hands-on client work with business development and a focus on profitability, maintaining high standards of service, compliance and risk management. As a Partner, you will also play an active part in the wider management of the firm, contributing to its strategic objectives, financial performance and long-term success.
