Job summary

QC Legal seeks an experienced Construction & Engineering Partner to lead the growth of its national practice from Leeds or Birmingham. You will advise on high-value matters for developers, contractors, investors and public sector bodies, guiding transactions from procurement through to dispute resolution.

You will mentor lawyers, shape the team’s strategic direction and build an extended client network, working across Real Estate, Banking, Planning and Corporate teams.

Qualifications

  • An established Construction & Engineering Partner with a strong reputation and a proven track record.
  • Experience advising for developers, contractors, investors, funders, consultants or public sector clients.
  • Commercially astute with the ability to identify opportunities and deliver practical, client-focused advice.
  • A collaborative leader who mentors colleagues and contributes to the wider success of the business.
  • Keen to drive growth of a nationally recognised Construction & Engineering practice.

Responsibilities

  • Take a leading role in the continued expansion of the Construction & Engineering practice in either Leeds or Birmingham.
  • Advise on complex construction matters across a broad client base, with the flexibility to focus on your particular area of expertise.
  • Act for developers, contractors, investors, funders, consultants or public sector organisations on significant development, regeneration and infrastructure projects.
  • Work closely with colleagues across Real Estate, Banking, Planning and Corporate to deliver joined-up advice on major transactions and projects.
  • Build upon an established client base while further developing your own relationships and market profile.
  • Play an active role in shaping the strategic direction of the team and identifying new opportunities for growth.
  • Lead, mentor and develop lawyers within the team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Be part of a nationally connected practice with the autonomy to influence its future direction.

Working with developers, contractors, funders, investors and public sector organisations, the team supports clients throughout the full lifecycle of construction projects, from procurement and project delivery through to dispute resolution. With ambitious plans for continued growth across its regional offices, the firm is now looking to appoint an experienced Construction & Engineering Partner to help drive its next chapter.
