Job summary

Bromley Trust Alternative Provision Academy in Hayes, Bromley, seeks a Progress & Engagement Guide (Part-Time) to support vulnerable secondary students. You will assist with welfare, safeguarding, attendance, and engagement, helping them transition and build confidence for learning within a supportive, multi-disciplinary team.

Role focuses on trauma-informed and restorative approaches, with opportunities for professional development. Term-time only, 39 weeks, 3 days per week.

Qualifications

• Experience working with secondary-aged young people.
• Ability to build positive, professional relationships with vulnerable pupils.
• Good safeguarding and child protection understanding.
• Calm, resilient and supportive in difficult situations.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed and restorative approaches.
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team and with external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Support students with personal development, welfare, safeguarding, attendance and engagement.
• Work with safeguarding and pastoral teams to assist transition and build resilience.
• Provide targeted support for SEMH, behavioral and attendance needs to access education.
