Role Overview

As a Year 3 Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences, ensuring that all pupils are engaged, motivated, and making excellent progress. Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning
  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging, and well-structured lessons in line with the Year 3 curriculum.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment where all pupils feel valued and inspired to learn.
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and needs.
  • Promote curiosity, independent learning, and a growth mindset among pupils.
Pupil Progress & Assessment
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, using data to inform lesson planning and targeted support.
  • Provide constructive feedback to pupils and parents to support learning and development.
  • Work with colleagues and leadership to implement interventions where necessary.
Classroom & Behaviour Management
  • Set high expectations for behaviour and maintain a positive and respectful learning atmosphere.
  • Implement school behaviour policies effectively to promote a culture of responsibility and mutual respect.
  • Develop strong relationships with pupils, encouraging confidence and enthusiasm for learning.
Collaboration & Professional Development
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure curriculum continuity and share best practices.
  • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities where required.
  • Engage with parents and carers to build strong home-school partnerships that support pupil progress.

Candidate Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
