Job summary

St John’s Goole is seeking a Worship Leader to develop and provide high-quality music and worship for the informal Sunday morning service and select hymns for the formal service.

The role is part-time (5 hours per week, primarily Sunday) at £14 per hour, funded by a grant until the end of 2028 with potential extension if funding remains; enhanced DBS check applies; commitment to Christian faith required.

Qualifications

• Experience leading worship and developing musical worship across church services.
• Ability to coordinate volunteers and musicians.
• Familiarity with AV/PA operations and church tech is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead contemporary worship on Sundays and support intimate worship through the Holy Spirit.
• Provide opportunities for congregation members to participate in worship.
• Oversee worship and AV/PA teams.
• This role requires Sunday work and occasional evening commitments.
• Undertake other duties as required.
