Join us as a Waking Night Learning Disability Support Worker and help build a future where learning disabled people live the best life possible.
We know that life can be complicated for everybody. But some of us are stopped from working towards our dreams. Many learning disabled people aren't heard about the support they'd like. Some won't get to decide what they do for work or how to spend or save their money. Many won't get to try out new hobbies they’d love to try.
But you can change all that.
Join our growing Waking Night team in Edenbridge, and get all the training you need to become a confident Support Worker.
If our values - Kind, Diverse, Positive, and Visionary - resonate with you, then we have lots in common. Come on board and support learning disabled adults with those values to develop skills, achieve life goals, and thrive in your community.
Waking night support workers are required to remain awake throughout the night to support individuals as needed. You will support individuals throughout the night to ensure they are comfortable and safe.
Every day is different. You may support someone to plan their weekly shop, go on outdoor adventures, provide personal care, support to attend events, or teach skills like money management. Your role is to support people to discover new interests, achieve goals, and maintain relationships with family and friends.
You will provide high standards of care for learning disabled adults, listening to their needs, assisting with daily tasks, and supporting confidence-building and independence. Working various shifts will help balance your work and home life.
Public transport access is limited, so having a driving license and access to a car, or assistance with transportation, is preferred.
