Job description

FitzRoy residential service in Ashford provides care and support for 14 adults with learning disabilities and autism. Boldshaves Oast offers a woodwork shop, arts and crafts room, as well as communal areas for our residents to socialise. We are seeking a Part Time Waking Night Support Worker to join our friendly and established team on a 1-year fixed-term contract. If you love helping people and want to make a difference in someone's life, we want to hear from you.

Please note, a driving licence is essential for this role due to the rural location.

  • Waking Night: £12.72 per hour weekdays and £13.99 weekends.
  • 10-hour contract, every Friday night, with potential for overtime.
  • Fixed term for 1 year, with the possibility to lead to a permanent position depending on available hours.
  • Currently offering an additional £2.50 for overtime shifts (over 37.5 hours per week).
  • Time and a half or double time for public holidays.
  • 30 days holiday when you start.

As a support worker, you'll wake up every day feeling good about your work. Even without previous care experience, as long as you have the right values, we'll train and support you to be confident in delivering care and support to transform lives for people with disabilities.

What does a Support Worker do?

A support worker's day is varied and rewarding. You will:

  • Support individuals according to their unique needs.
  • Perform light household duties.
  • Support and encourage with personal care, such as showers and baths.

Support Worker Hours

Ten-hour shifts. Weekend working is essential; when you work weekends, you will have days off during the week.
