Join a thriving and well equipped veterinary practice in the heart of Derbyshire as a part-time Veterinary Surgeon, where exceptional care and professional development go hand in hand. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a large, supportive, and experienced team that prides itself on delivering outstanding veterinary services in a modern and forward thinking environment.

The practice boasts state-of-the-art facilities, including three operating theatres, an in-house laboratory for rapid results, digital x-ray machines, heart monitors, large glass-fronted kennels, and a video endoscope system for minimally invasive keyhole procedures. With a fantastic team of vets—many of whom are certificate holders or working towards certification in surgery, cardiology, dermatology, internal medicine, emergency & critical care, and ophthalmology—you’ll be surrounded by expertise and innovation at every turn.

You’ll be joining a dynamic team led by a supportive Lead Vet and Business Partner, alongside a Head Nurse, twelve experienced nurses, and five dedicated receptionists. The role is ideal for an RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon who is passionate about delivering clinical excellence, mentoring others, and driving forward a progressive and patient focused clinical culture.

This part-time position is tailored for someone who values work-life balance while still making a meaningful impact. You’ll consult, perform procedures, mentor team members, and contribute to a culture of shared learning and high standards. You’ll also be empowered to support nurse consults and Schedule 3 procedures, ensuring optimal clinic efficiency and collaboration.

Located in beautiful Derbyshire, the practice offers not only a fantastic working environment but also access to picturesque countryside, charming towns, and a vibrant local community—perfect for those who appreciate both professional satisfaction and quality of life.
