Job description

Victoria Veterinary Practice is seeking a dedicated receptionist to join our team! Your daily responsibilities will vary in this fast-paced environment, including:

  1. Welcoming clients and their pets professionally and warmly
  2. Managing reception duties such as answering phone calls, booking appointments, and handling inquiries
  3. Processing insurance claims and pet health club memberships
  4. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records
  5. Supporting the veterinary team with administrative tasks away from the front desk
  6. Remaining calm and compassionate in high-pressure or emotional situations

Victoria Veterinary Practice is a community-minded, multi-branch veterinary practice located in the South Wales valleys, with easy access to Cardiff. Our Dowlais site is near the beautiful Brecon Beacons.

What we're looking for

We seek a highly motivated individual with a positive, can-do attitude. Dependability, flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential. Strong communication skills, professionalism, approachability, empathy, and computer literacy are also important.

Shift pattern

This part-time role offers 28 hours per week, with a mix of 5- or 10-hour shifts across both sites.
