Job summary

Vets Now Liverpool is seeking a Vet Surgeon to join our emergency team on a fixed-term full-time basis, providing urgent care when it’s most needed.

The role involves night and weekend shifts on a 1:3 rotation, with access to ongoing professional development and coaching in a high-demand ECC setting.

Qualifications

• Professional veterinary qualification and registration to practice in the UK.
• Experience in emergency/critical care preferred but not required for all cases.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency veterinary care during nights and weekends.
• Support ongoing coaching and professional development within ECC.
• Collaborate with ECC and imaging specialists when needed.

At Vets Now Liverpool, our committed team of vet surgeons, registered veterinary nurses, animal care assistants and receptionists work hard through the nights, weekends, and bank holidays to ensure sick and injured pets get the very best care when daytime vets are closed. We’re looking for a Vet Surgeon to join our team, on a fixed term full-time basis, to provide emergency care when it’s needed the most.

Now for work-life balance

This role consists of working an average of 36 hours per week across weekday nights, weekend days and nights on a 1:3 rotation, as well as a share of bank holidays – never working more than three nightshifts in a row. We appreciate that one size doesn’t fit all and are happy to consider full time applicants.
