Job summary

Vets Now Aberdeen is seeking a part-time Out of Hours Veterinary Surgeon to join our emergency and critical care team. The role focuses on delivering high-quality surgical and medical care during out-of-hours shifts in a busy, supportive environment.

Applicants should be qualified veterinary surgeons with OOH experience and a strong commitment to animal welfare. An on-site flat is available, with a comprehensive benefits package and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Qualified veterinary surgeon with post-graduate experience in emergency and critical care.
• Experience working out of hours is preferred.
• Commitment to high standards of patient care and client communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency and critical care in the out-of-hours service.
• Work as part of the Aberdeen Vets Now team to stabilise and treat patients.
• Collaborate with night and on-call colleagues to ensure continuous care.

Vets Now Aberdeen are welcoming applications from Out of Hours (OOH) Veterinary Surgeons with a passion for Emergency and Critical Care to join their team on a part-time basis. Vets Now is the UK’s leading provider of emergency veterinary care, with a nationwide network of out of hours clinics and 24/7 emergency hospitals. The eight-week rolling rota is as follows:

• Week1:Off
• Week 2: Sunday 0930-1930
• Week 3: Off
• Week 4: Friday 1900-0830, Saturday 1800-0000, Sunday 1800-0000
• Week 5: Monday 1900-0830
• Week 6: Sunday 0930-1930
• Week 7: Off
• Week 8: Friday 1900-1830

An on-site flat is available to utilise between shifts.
