Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a SPOA Call Advisor to be the first point of contact for service users, providing safe, responsive and patient-focused information and guidance.

The role involves handling calls from health and social care settings, recording information accurately using templates, and directing callers to appropriate services with a courteous, professional approach. A DBS check is required.

Formación

• Good level of literacy and numeracy; NVQ 3 or equivalent experience
• Excellent oral and aural communication with ability to record details accurately
• Demonstrate Critical Thinking Skills

Responsabilidades

• Receive requests for assistance, treatment or care from healthcare practitioners or other professionals.
• Answer calls in an efficient, courteous manner using established standards and protocols; complete referral forms via SystmOne.
• Take detailed information from the referring healthcare professional using set templates and check capacity of services.
• Ensure timely assessment, questioning and accurate recording of all referred patients needing urgent assistance.
• Receive contacts by telephone or other means from healthcare professionals requesting medical referral assistance and advice; refer to appropriate services or Clinical Advisors when needed.
