Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust in Macclesfield is recruiting a Band 6 Liaison Psychiatry Practitioner to work with patients in distress, within the A&E department or following hospital admission.

The role is part-time (17.25 hours per week) with strong focus on risk assessment, education of staff on Mental Health Act & related duties, and robust supervision for professional development.

Formación

• Registered professional qualification in Mental Health Nursing, Learning Disabilities, Social Work or Occupational Therapy including registration with the relevant regulatory body.
• Evidence of further professional development.
• Recognised qualification in psychotherapeutic interventions i.e post graduate certificate in CBT.

Responsabilidades

• Enhance the Liaison Psychiatry Service by providing prompt assessments and assisting treatment delivery within ED 4-hour targets and NHS England response times.
• Support education and training of acute care staff around mental health issues, Deprivation of Liberty safeguards, Mental Capacity Act & Mental Health Act.
