Job Introduction

Part Time Support Worker

Shifts Available: You MUST be able to work 24 hours per week.

  • Days: Monday to Sunday - 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
  • Waking Nights: Monday to Sunday - 8:00 PM to 8:00 AMSupport Ratio: 2:1 care

We are looking for compassionate, proactive, and resilient Support Workers to join a dedicated team in Lincoln, supporting a vibrant individual with Autism, ADHD, and mental health needs.

This person has full mental capacity and leads an active lifestyle. They enjoy being out in the community, during the day and during the night. They are passionate about animals and currently volunteer with a local animal organisation.

Applicants must hold a full, valid UK driving licence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centred care and consistent emotional support
  • Build and maintain therapeutic, respectful relationships
  • Encourage community involvement, including volunteering and potential college attendance
  • Support with budgeting, finances, and maintaining a tidy home environment
  • Promote positive mental health and provide support around self-harm risks
  • Use de-escalation and distraction techniques as needed
  • Support the individual to make informed decisions while respecting their autonomy
  • Engage in meaningful activities, both during the day and night
  • Assist in maintaining safety around risks such as ligature or challenging behaviour (
  • Offer guidance and honest conversations when decisions may impact wellbeing
  • Work collaboratively with family members and be comfortable around animals (a dog may be present overnight)

Who We're Looking For:

  • Experienced in supporting individuals with Autism, mental health needs, and behaviours that challenge
  • Confident in managing complex risk behaviours in a calm, person-led way
  • Able to balance respectful autonomy with professional safeguarding
  • Confident in using clear boundaries and being assertive when necessary
  • Open to working night shifts that may include outings or active support
  • Knowledgeable in safeguarding practices and mental health support
  • Not afraid to "push back" when needed in a respectful and supportive way
  • Fully engaged in the role - not just present, but proactive and attentive
  • Driving licence required.
