The Bridge, Middlesbrough, part-time Therapy Assistant role within Elysium Healthcare, supports therapeutic and rehabilitation pathways for neurological or mental health conditions. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver one-to-one and group activities, aiming to promote recovery and independence.

This role includes assisting with planning, documentation, and observing sessions, under supervision, while adhering to clinical confidentiality and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• GNVQ Level 3 or willingness to undergo training.
• Experience in care or therapy environment.
• Ability to complete in-service training to learn techniques for supporting therapists.
• Able to understand and follow instructions and learn new skills quickly.
• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Maintain confidentiality and understand implications of non-compliance.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking basic procedures as instructed by a qualified therapist while respecting privacy and dignity.
• Report any change in service user condition promptly.
• Maintain effective communication within the team and with clients, visitors and colleagues.
• Ensure written/computerised documentation is accurate and complete.
• Handle and relay information with care and sensitivity, maintaining confidentiality.
• Attend in-service training and development for required techniques.
• Assist in providing a safe environment for service users.
• Aiming to help individuals regain maximum independence.
• Comply with health and safety, COSHH, fire and manual handling procedures.
• Comply with Elysium policies and procedures.
