Job summary

University of Nottingham is seeking a Teaching Associate (0.6 FTE) in Cultural, Media and Visual Studies to contribute to high-quality teaching and student support. The post is a fixed-term, part-time appointment based at University Park, with responsibilities across seminars, tutorials and lectures.

The successful candidate will help develop course materials and assessments, supervise dissertations where required, and provide pastoral support within a collaborative teaching team.

Qualifications

• Applicants should hold a PhD or equivalent in a relevant subject area, or equivalent professional qualifications and experience.
• You should have experience of teaching relevant subjects at Higher Education level, the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, and the ability to plan, deliver and assess teaching within an agreed quality framework.
• A Higher Education teaching qualification, or progress towards one, is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Teach and advise students in seminars, tutorials and lectures.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of course materials and assessment.
• Supervise undergraduate dissertation projects where required.
• Pastoral support and administrative duties that contribute to the Department’s effective operation.
