Job description

Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Mylnhurst Preparatory School and Nursery is seeking a qualified Teaching Assistant to support pupils across the curriculum. At Mylnhurst, Teaching Assistants work closely with a single class; their role is essential in ensuring children access lessons and maximize their opportunities within our school environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Leading small-group and one-to-one interventions
  2. Encouraging pupils to do their best and participate actively in activities
  3. Assisting teachers in preparing resources and setting up materials
  4. Supervising pupils during break and lunchtimes
  5. Supporting the enrichment program
  6. Taking an active role within lessons, including in specialist subjects
  7. Participating in trips and visits
  8. Being proactive and taking initiative
  9. Engaging in professional development opportunities
