A lovely 2 form entry primary school in Denmark Hill are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work with a child on a 1 to 1 basis to start as soon as possible.
In this role you will be supporting a child with diagnosed Special Educational Needs on a part-time basis, mornings only. The child has autism and needs support within the classroom and particularly when processing instructions and in communications with peers. The child can struggle with regulating emotions and you may be required to support the child outside the classroom to calm down. The school are open to applications from experienced learning support assistants, psychology graduates or those who have a good understanding of how to support children with autism.
This role is offered on a part-time contract basis for the rest of the academic year, Monday to Friday from 8.30-1pm.
