Qualifications

Part-Time Tax Role within a FTSE Listed Business

Are you looking for a Part-Time Tax role within a FTSE listed business? This could be a great opportunity to join an exciting company in the Healthcare sector as a Tax Accountant on a part-time basis (approximately 3 days per week).

The business is performing well, and the Head of Tax is looking to hire two new team members, including a Part-Time Direct Tax Accountant. The role is based in Reading with a hybrid working pattern, requiring only 1 day in the office per week.

The team is relatively lean, with much work outsourced, offering a chance to engage in interesting projects related to Corporate Tax, such as Tax Provisions, Capital Allowances, and Tax Forecasting.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the delivery of the Corporation Tax cycle across the group and subsidiaries.
• Manage a direct report responsible for preparing Tax Returns, reviewing their work, and stepping in during their absence.
• Review and advise on R&D Relief claims.
• Provide corporate tax advice to subsidiary business units on deductions, transfer pricing, shared responsibilities, and more.

Requirements:

• Experience in Direct Tax Accounting and/or Corporate Tax.
• Statutory Tax Accounting experience.
• Experience with AlphaTax is highly beneficial.
• Background in Tax Compliance.
