Job summary

Affinity Trust is seeking a dedicated Support Worker in Inverurie to help a gentleman with cerebral palsy live independently and with dignity. You will provide patient, person-centred care and support daily routines, outings, and new activities in his own home.

Full training is provided, a PVG check is funded by us, and you will join a compassionate team focused on inclusion, wellbeing, and empowering the person to make choices about everyday life.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with physical disabilities and complex needs.

As a Support Worker at Affinity Trust, you will make a difference every day, supporting people to live their best lives, giving them confidence and choice.

One day, it could be a trip to the supermarket, the next, supporting them in a new hobby. Your support means people can live more independently; in the way they choose. Ultimately, your support gives people the freedom to be themselves.

You will be supporting a gentleman with cerebral palsy who lives in his own home in Inverurie, empowering him to live a full and meaningful life on his own terms.

He can sometimes communicate through behaviours that may be perceived as challenging, so we are looking for someone who is confident, patient, resilient, and able to provide calm, consistent, and person-centred support. Experience supporting individuals with physical disabilities and complex needs would be advantageous, along with a positive approach focused on understanding the person behind the behaviour.
