Job summary

Right There seeks a Part Time Support Worker for Willow Gate-First Stop Emergency Accommodation in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire. The post focuses on delivering person-centered support within an emergency accommodation setting, helping residents achieve goals and move toward settled options.

You will work closely with residents, the council, and local partners, maintaining high-quality, voice-led support and compassionate, non-judgemental communication at all times.

Qualifications

• Experience in similar role or environment preferred.
• Understanding of what people are going through when facing homelessness.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality support to those we support.
• Use detailed support plans to assess progress of individuals.
• Arrange and facilitate key work meetings to develop/update support plans.
• Record wellbeing and compile/review risk assessments.
• Develop life skills: budgeting, activities, shopping, cooking for independence.
• Plan and run workshops or programme activities with those we support.
• Assist with community integration and engagement.
