Job summary

Right There is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our Outreach programme in Hamilton, helping people move to stable homes and stay connected with their communities.

You will build trusting relationships, develop practical skills and advocate for individuals, while coordinating with council services and partners. The role emphasizes flexibility, safeguarding, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar environment, including crises support and de-escalation.
• Knowledge of housing and homelessness issues, relevant legislation and policies.
• Understanding of safeguarding and adult protection policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload, keeping in regular contact through face-to-face meetings and telephone support.
• Create and review support plans with people, ensuring voices, strengths and aspirations guide the support.
• Help people develop everyday skills, including budgeting, shopping, cooking and tenancy responsibilities.
• Support people to maximise income, access benefits and connect with services and activities.
• Keep accurate, timely records and work with colleagues and partner agencies.
• Maintain professional boundaries and participate in safeguarding, training and supervision.
