Job description

Location: Bridlington,YO16 7PE

Shifts: Part time 24 hours per week (Monday to Sunday on a rota basis)

Pay Rate: £12.21 - £12.47 per hour (dependent on qualifications)

Bridlington is a 12-bed residential service specialising in the care and support of individuals with Prader-Willi Syndrome.

Through our Residential, Supported Living and Complex Care services, we support people’s interests and inspire new ones. We do this through a mix of bigger planned activities and smaller everyday goals and tasks. We really understand each individual, so we create a person-centred plan to help them Strive every day.

As part of our team, you will help plan and deliver engaging, inclusive, and fun-filled activities that promote creativity, social interaction, and well-being. Responsibilities include:

  • Leisure and social activities such as social clubs, bingo, meals out, local pub visits, shopping, cinema, theatre, concerts
  • Outdoor activities such as horse riding, swimming, beach walking, day trips
  • Arts and crafts

These activities aim to support physical, mental, and emotional well-being while building a sense of community and belonging.

Role Overview

  • You’ll support adults with lots of different needs such as learning disabilities, autism, ABI and mental health

  • You’ll support them to flourish in a place they call home. You’ll empower the people we support to be ambitious and live fulfilled lives

  • You’ll give high-quality support tailored to people’s needs

  • You’ll do activities like cooking, art or listening to music. And get out for movie nights and food outings

  • You’ll provide personal care including support with continence needs; health and medication needs; handling personal possessions; finances and documents; shopping. Help them to have good levels of personal and environmental hygiene

  • You’ll follow our procedures, so we give consistent, safe, and reliable care and support

Key Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Good general education

  • Honesty, reliability, trustworthiness, and a passion to make a difference

  • Commitment to the aims and objectives of the home and of Ivolve

  • Satisfactory Police Check and check against the ISA List (where applicable)

  • A commitment to undertake training and development

Desirable

  • RQF Level 2 or above in social care

  • Previous experience within social care setting

  • Knowledge and commitment regarding Equal Opportunities

  • Knowledge of the regulatory frameworks

  • Confident IT user
