Job summary

Falkirk Council’s Falkirk Children's Services seeks a Support for Learning Assistant for Myot View ELC Centre. The role covers supervision and support for children, with focus on safeguarding and well-being, and delivering individual plans where needed.

The post is part-time, term-time, 10 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00–11:30. Successful applicants must register with the SSSC within six months and gain PVG membership as required.

Qualifications

• Must have either obtained the benchmark qualification or be working towards it as part of SSSC registration.
• Registration with SSSC within 3 months of starting and within six months.
• Part-time role: 10 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9:00–11:30, term time, permanent.

Responsibilities

• General supervision of children to ensure safety and well-being.
• Provide more intensive support for children with additional support needs to implement individual plans.
• Work as part of a busy team with good communication and flexible approach.
