The role

This is a perfect opportunity for any teacher or subject specialist who wants to continue teaching and working with children but without the burden of planning and marking!

As a cover teacher, you will be delivering pre-planned lessons and maintaining continuity of learning in the absence of regular classroom teachers. Adapting teaching materials and strategies to suit different learning styles and abilities. An important part of the role is managing classroom behaviour and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. You will provide guidance, assistance, and support to students in their academic and personal development. The school seeks someone who can collaborate with colleagues to ensure a smooth transition for students, communicate effectively, and demonstrate flexibility by working across various grade levels and subjects.

Qualifications and Experience

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent certification.
• Previous classroom teaching experience, ideally across multiple key stages.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to motivate students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents.
