Job description

About The Role:

Our client, a reputable, international interior design studio is seeking a Studio Librarian to join their friendly and collaborative team on a part-time basis (3 days per week).

This role will play a key position within the company, working closely with the design teams to organise, maintain and update the studio’s library and assist by sourcing relevant materials, literature, samples, and technical information. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be highly organised and an effective team player and must have a passion for interior design, architecture, furniture design etc. You will play a key part in supporting the design teams who are known for producing industry-leading design solutions for its high-end clientele across the globe!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update library resources efficiently
  • Organise physical and electronic systems for easy data retrieval
  • Ensure office and library tidiness
  • Manage catalogues, materials, and supplier contacts
  • Aid the design team with sourcing and pricing information
  • Schedule supplier visits and screen new opportunities
  • Organise showroom visits and trade show attendance
  • Budget and plan international trade show visits
  • Arrange in-office presentations and stay updated on trends
  • Support other studio locations and assist with design tasks
  • Aid designers with samples, presentations, and accessories
  • Manage magazine subscriptions and presentation supplies
  • Assist with reception duties as needed

Key Skills/Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Adobe Photoshop with InDesign skills is a plus
  • Adaptable design skills matching studio needs
  • Creative problem solver with a keen eye for detail
  • Skilled in colour and material selection
  • Effective under pressure, with solid teamwork and independent work abilities
