Job summary

The University of Southampton Students' Union (SUSU) is seeking a part-time Volunteer Engagement Officer to support and develop student groups’ activity across charity, liberation and political societies.

You will build relationships with around 50 groups, helping them reach their goals while ensuring activities are sustainable, safe, and inclusive, and you will lead SUSU’s student fundraising efforts with strong financial record-keeping and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Commitment to volunteer development and the student experience.
• Experience planning and delivering events.
• Comfortable juggling multiple projects and prioritising workload.

Responsibilities

• Support and develop student groups’ activity across charity, liberation and political societies.
• Lead SUSU’s student fundraising activity with strong financial records and compliance.
• Build relationships with around 50 student groups and help them reach goals.
• Ensure activities are sustainable, safe and inclusive.
• Work within the team supporting over 450 student groups and major SUSU events.
