Overview

CMS Stock Controller

Aintree – Liverpool

6-Month Fixed Term Contract role

Part Time Hours: Monday – Wednesday 7am-3pm. Initially Monday-Friday 7am – 3pm for first 4 weeks for training.

Working for this leading services organisation you will be based on site at Aintree (Liverpool) Hospital. You will be responsible for the day to day management of stock/consumables based on site.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with stock control and consumables warehousing and inventory management, ideally in the NHS.

The role could suit a registered nurse or clinical professional looking for a change of career.

The suitable candidate will have excellent communication skills as this role will be liaising with doctors and must be a very self sufficient individual able to work using their own initiative. There is also occasional travel to otherlocations so a driving licence and car is preffered but not essential.

Hours:

Monday – Wednesday 7am-3pm 22 hours

6 month fixed term contract

Responsibilities
  • Day to day management of consumables on site
  • Source non-stock products as required by the location
  • Add or amend Supplier Account detail
  • Add or amend product details on computer system.
  • Set up inventory parameters to enable requisitions or direct ordering.
  • Manage automatic and manual orders including non-stock
  • Manage requisitions including non stock, raise and enter Purchase orders.
  • Stock transfers e.g. adhoc issues on a sale or return basis
  • Expedite orders with suppliers
  • Accept delivery, decant and manage reversals including management of over/under deliveries and damages
  • Ensure all stock is appropriately located ready for use by clinical staff
  • Manage receipt of products for trials, loan equipment etc after Consumables Group approval
  • Manage quarantine of product/product recalls/shelf life expiry/loss management and physical returns
  • Undertake cyclical and annual stock takes/reconciliation
  • Management of price queries with suppliers.
  • Assist with new client implementation activities as required
