Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a qualified Sociology Teacher for a part-time role in a high-achieving East London secondary school. The successful candidate will teach KS4 and KS5, plan engaging lessons, monitor progress, and work collaboratively within a supportive Humanities department.

The role is four days per week until July, with a competitive daily rate and a welcoming leadership team in a school known for strong student behaviour and excellent facilities.

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Has experience teaching Sociology up to KS5/A-Level.
• Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a passion for the subject.
• Has excellent classroom management skills.
• Is committed to raising attainment and delivering high-quality teaching.

Responsibilities

• Teach Sociology across KS4 and KS5.
• Plan and deliver engaging, challenging lessons that inspire students.
