Part Time 18.5 Duty Social Worker

This is a none case holding role . The duty social worker will be responsible for the task of duty only within the Connected Carers Team. The duty social worker will work in partnership with the full time duty worker who is well established in the team. Main duties will include taking the lead with Regulation 24 Assessments and Viability Assessments. The Viability Assessments will be either PLO or Court Directed. The duty worker will also be responsible for representing the team at ULPMs, LPMs and CPMs and any duty tasks associated with the outcome of these meetings. Some tasks may include the support and supervision of Kinship Foster carers in the absence of their SSW and supporting the Assessing SWs with some assessment tasks has and when necessary. These assessments include Form K assessments. However the main focus of this role will be on the task of duty.
Only applicants who can start almost immediately are invited to apply.

Working day will include a Monday. The other working day to be negotiated.
The post does include some hybrid working.
All regulation 24 assessments and VAs are face to face.

  • Excellent communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on information available.
  • Can work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency set ups
  • Possess knowledge of service needs.
  • Competent IT skills and be able to navigate electronic file/recording systems.
  • Can write clear, concise, and robust assessment/reports/files.
  • Have a flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises
