CVS Veterinary Group is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon for its Valley Veterinary Group in Kilmarnock and Stewarton, Scotland. This first-opinion GP position emphasizes consultations, lab result interpretation, case planning and prescription oversight, with support for nursing and reception teams.

There is no on-call requirement; Saturdays are rota-based (1 in 5). Relocation assistance is available to help transition smoothly.

Qualifications

• First-opinion GP role focusing on consultations, interpreting lab results, case planning, prescription oversight and supporting nursing/reception teams.
• Comfort with a varied caseload and ability to provide guidance to the wider team.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality small animal veterinary care in a supportive, busy practice.
• Conduct examinations, diagnose and plan treatments with case workups.
• Oversee prescriptions and coordinate with nurses for patient care.
• Support and mentor team members and contribute to standard-setting.
• Engage with clients to build trust and deliver excellent service.
