Valley Veterinary Group Kilmarnock and Stewarton practices (20 minutes south of Glasgow) have a new position for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their team.

Rota: 20 hours a week.

Our practices are forward-thinking and busy, and we take pride in delivering the highest level of veterinary care to our loyal clients and their pets.

We have a purpose-built RCVS-accredited main surgery, which is extremely well-equipped to allow case workups to a high standard and an SVN training practice. There are approximately 20 of us here in practice. Our practice is very well equipped, as you would expect of a modern, forward-thinking practice, with dental radiography, endoscopy and recently upgraded ultrasound.

About you

This is a first-opinion GP role with a focus on consultations, interpreting lab results, case planning, prescription oversight, and supporting our nursing and reception teams.

You’ll be working closely with a loyal client base, many of whom have been with us for decades, and benefit from a high percentage of insured clients and a strong work-up culture.

While this is primarily a consulting role, we do require some surgical experience for routine procedures, but, as a team, we are more than happy to provide support and training to help with development.
