NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde is seeking a motivated SLT Clinical Support Worker for the Speech and Language Therapy team at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. The role involves delivering therapy under supervision, supporting patients with speech and swallowing difficulties and assisting in rehabilitation journeys.

Part-time, permanent, 15 hours per week with pro rata pay. The post offers a collaborative multidisciplinary environment and opportunities for professional development within NHSGGC.

Qualifications

• SVQ Level 3 in a health, therapy or care-related discipline or equivalent qualification
• Experience supporting individuals with communication difficulties
• Experience working within a healthcare or care environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt communication styles to meet individual needs
• Good IT skills including word processing, internet use and data entry
• Evidence of continuous professional development and participation in mandatory training programmes
• Ability to work flexibly, prioritise workload effectively and contribute positively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Responsabilités

• Deliver individual and group therapy programmes under the guidance of a Speech and Language Therapist
• Support patients with communication and swallowing difficulties, providing encouragement throughout their care journey
• Monitor patient progress and provide feedback to Speech and Language Therapists to support ongoing treatment planning
• Prepare therapy resources and communication materials to support clinical interventions
• Maintain accurate patient records, documentation and activity data in line with professional standards
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, patients, carers and healthcare professionals to deliver effective care
• Support service improvement activities including audits, data collection and continuous professional development
