Job summary

John Cross CE Primary School in Bilsborrow, Preston, Lancashire, is looking for a reliable site supervisor / cleaner. The post combines site supervision with cleaning, with the site supervisor role being a majority cleaning position in this small school.

The duties include opening/locking the site, security, and routine maintenance. The role involves coordinating external contractors during school holidays and flexible start/finish times for events.

Qualifications

• High standards of cleaning and maintenance.
• Experience of undertaking manual tasks (maintenance, DIY) and COSHH knowledge.
• Experience of security duties.
• Ability to work on own initiative.

Responsibilities

• All health and safety / compliance checks.
• Undertake the cleaning within the school to maintain a clean and hygienic condition.
• External checks of the grounds – Keeping the site clean and tidy.
• Co-ordinating / supervising external contractors and service engineers in the school holidays.
• Daily opening and locking up of the site, security checks, cleaning and general maintenance and DIY around the site.
