We are a well-established and reputable service charge consultancy with a proven track record in delivering professional services to a wide-ranging client base. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Service Charge Consultant to join our team on a part-time basis.

The Role

As a Service Charge Consultant, you will play a key role in reviewing, interpreting, and advising on service charge budgets, statements, and lease obligations.

As this is a client interfacing role, it does require an applicant with suitable experience of reviewing lease agreements, analysing data, and identifying, pursuing, and concluding savings opportunities.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of commercial property management and leasehold structures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret leases to determine service charge obligations
• Analyse and advise on annual service charge budgets and reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with lease terms, industry best practices, benefit and legislative requirements
• Liaise with property managers, accountants, and clients as needed
• Provide clear, concise advice and reports to internal teams and stakeholders
• Identify inconsistencies or areas for improvement in service charge processes

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a similar service charge, leasehold, or property management role
• Strong knowledge of commercial leases and service charge legislation / RICS Code of Practice
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across a 20-hour work week
• High attention to detail and clear communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel / Sharepoint / Word etc.
