Job Description:

Trial Balance Consulting has been exclusively engaged by a well-established not-for-profit community services provider based in Redruth, which has recently undergone restructuring due to expansion. They are seeking an experienced Finance Officer for a new, permanent, part-time role (22.5 hours/week), with flexible working patterns and potential hybrid arrangements. The role involves managing the organisation’s financial health, working closely with senior management, and handling responsibilities such as:

1. Managing all aspects of the accounting lifecycle
2. Supporting financial strategy discussions
3. Managing accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and supplier payments
4. Handling VAT reporting and bank reconciliations
5. Assisting in budget setting and maintaining the fixed asset register
6. Processing payroll and HMRC reporting
7. Preparing year-end accounts with external accountants
8. Leading on the financial committee

Ideal candidates will have an AAT qualification or equivalent vocational experience, with knowledge of NFP or public sector accounting advantageous but not essential. Experience in private sector finance is also valued. The candidate should be an organized, interpersonal, and responsible Bookkeeper ready to contribute immediately.
