Overview

Part-time Senior Compliance Manager & MLRO (SMF17) - Consumer Lending

3 days a week

London (Hybrid, 2 days in the office)

£90k - £110k FTE

This established consumer lender is under new leadership and is geared for significant growth over the next few years. This role will become SMF16 (Head of Compliance) in approximately 12-18 months.

This is a part-time role, 3 days a week, with 2 of those days spent in the firm\'s London office.

Responsibilities

• Lead the core compliance initiatives and the company\'s control framework by building relationships with key stakeholders, promoting an ethical working environment and successfully driving regulatory change.
• Provide regulatory advice, guidance and challenge to the business; promote a culture of continued improvement in the quality of the customer experience and ensure the fair treatment of customers is at the heart of the business.
• Act as the Consumer Duty lead for the business and take on MLRO (SMF17) responsibilities.
• Operate as the sole Compliance specialist within the business at this stage, with the scope to build a small team as the business grows.
• Be part of 2nd line and report into the CEO.

Qualifications

• Experienced senior Compliance professional from the consumer lending arena, familiar with regulations impacting this sector, including CONC and Consumer Duty in particular.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a part-time capacity (3 days per week) with potential to progress toward SMF16 in ~12-18 months.
