As we start our next 5-year regulatory period (known as AMP8), delivering efficiently for our shareholders has never been more important.

Our Finance function plays a fundamental role in achieving this and so we are looking to make a step change in how we provide partnering and financial decision-making to support to the business.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Finance Business Partner to partner our operational arm of the business, where you will drive financial performance, on a flexible, part-time basis.

Further responsibilities include:

  • Design and implement plans to exceed budget and business targets.
  • Challenge departmental budgets and forecasts to ensure credibility and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Provide accurate, timely forecasts and insights to help operational teams meet their targets.
  • Deliver monthly, annual, and AMP performance analysis against financial and output targets.
  • Identify and manage risks and opportunities to meet annual and AMP commitments.
  • Build and motivate a skilled team to support operational decision-making and improve financial controls.
  • Offer clear insights to the CFO and Head of Operations Finance to shape financial and operational strategy.
  • Prepare and present reports to strategic leadership, capital boards, and other approval bodies.

ABOUT YOU

You’ll be a fully qualified finance professional with experienceworking at a senior finance level in a fast-paced, highly commercial and competitive environment, where you have performed robust investment analysis.

You’ll have excellent communication and influencing skills with strong experience of partnering senior business stakeholders with competing deliverables to hold them to account for delivery of financial and operations targets.
