Job summary

Senploy is seeking a Part-time Specialist SEND Tutor in Cambridge to deliver personalised, one-on-one learning programmes within an alternative provision setting. You will assess needs, plan tailored learning, and implement engaging lessons while working closely with families and educators.

The role requires a PGCE or QTS with SEND specialization and at least two years of SEND experience, including autism, dyslexia, and ADHD. Flexibility and strong communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• A PGCE or QTS with SEND specialism.
• 2+ years of experience with diverse SEND needs including autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and sensory processing disorders.
• Deep understanding of SEND policies, frameworks and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with students, families and colleagues.
• Creativity, patience and a genuine passion for helping young people.
• Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance learning.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to tailor methods to each student.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of each student’s learning needs, strengths, and development areas.
• Develop and implement personalised learning plans with evidence-based teaching strategies.
• Deliver engaging and effective lesson plans for diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Collaborate with families, teachers and other professionals for a holistic approach.
• Monitor and track student progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Maintain detailed records of performance and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance SEND practice.
