Job summary

Ken Stimpson Academy in the United Kingdom is seeking a part-time Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs and remove barriers to learning. The 32.5-hour week is term time only, with 8.30am–3.30pm, Monday to Friday, for 12 months, and training will be provided to support your transition into the role.

You may have experience as a teaching assistant, workshop leader or youth worker, or a background in a youth sector.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with learning needs in a school setting.
• Ability to remove barriers to learning and implement supportive strategies.
• Strong ICT skills and ability to use educational software.
• Good communication, confidence, integrity and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Support students with their special educational learning needs and help them make progress.
• Act as a role model, listener, facilitator for learning and motivator.
