Part Time SEN Teaching Assistant - Bath (BA2) - 1 day per week (Fridays)

Setting: Mainstream Primary School

Start Date: ASAP

Pay: £90 - £100 per day, depending on experience

Ongoing work: until the end of the school year

Schedule: Fridays every week and some Wednesdays

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring SEN Teaching Assistant to become part of a welcoming mainstream primary school in Bath. In this role, you will work one-on-one with students with SEN, focusing on their unique needs and helping them succeed in the classroom.

As an integral part of the team, you will contribute to the student's educational, emotional, and social development. This role is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative school environment dedicated to supporting young learners in reaching their full potential through dynamic and engaging activities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide dedicated 1-to-1 support to children with SEN, ensuring their individual needs are met.
2. Assist teachers in preparing resources and maintaining an inclusive classroom environment.
3. Encourage the child's learning and development through structured activities and play.
4. Track and document the child's progress, sharing updates with staff and parents.
5. Uphold safeguarding policies to maintain a safe and positive environment.

Minimum Requirements

1. Enhanced DBS Check (We can assist with this).
2. Graduate in a relevant field such as psychology or criminology OR a good education background (GCSE's in Maths and English) plus prior experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant.
