A welcoming and inclusive two-form entry primary school in Hounslow is seeking an experienced and ASD Teacher to join their team on a part-time basis within their well-established ASD Unit.
This is a maternity cover role starting in September 2025, 3 days per week, and would suit a teacher with a strong background in autism support who is confident working with pupils with a range of complex needs.
The school is proud of its nurturing ethos, positive behaviour culture, and strong provision for children with EHCPs. You will be joining a skilled and supportive team that prioritises inclusive practice, pupil well-being, and staff collaboration.
The Role:Teach a small group of pupils with autism and additional needs in a dedicated ASD unit
Plan and deliver personalised learning programmes tailored to EHCP outcomes
Work closely with teaching assistants and the school SENCO to deliver high-quality, consistent support
Monitor and assess pupil progress and adapt strategies accordingly
Foster a safe, structured, and communication-rich learning environment
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Has experience teaching pupils with autism and associated communication or sensory needs
Understands a range of strategies including PECS, visual timetables, and social stories
Is confident managing a team of support staff and liaising with families and external professionals
Brings empathy, patience, and creativity to every lesson
A dedicated, well-resourced ASD unit with excellent TA support
A positive and inclusive school community with strong leadership
A collaborative SEN team and regular CPD opportunities
Inner London weighting, with salary up to M4
