Job summary

Prospero Teaching in Gravesend is seeking a Lunchtime Supervisor to support pupils with SEN during the busy midday period. The part-time role runs approx. 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM, offering £30‑£40 per day with ongoing support from a dedicated consultant.

You will supervise children in the dining hall and playground, help with lunchtime routines, and promote inclusive play and pupil wellbeing in collaboration with school staff.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Calm, caring and patient nature.
• Willingness to learn about supporting pupils with SEN.
• DBS on the update service or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Supervising children during lunchtime in the dining hall and playground.
• Supporting pupils with additional needs to ensure a safe lunchtime experience.
• Encouraging inclusive play and positive social interactions.
• Assisting with lunchtime routines, including feeding and mobility support where needed.
• Working with school staff to manage behaviour and pupil wellbeing.
