Job summary

Northern Security Limited in Workington is seeking a Security Officer to work on-site from 4pm to 9pm, Monday to Friday, on a 25-hour part-time basis. You will be the face of our security presence, ensuring the safety of staff, customers and property.

The role requires smart appearance, a polite demeanor, and the ability to work independently, with training provided and a pro rata 28 days holiday plus a pension scheme.

Qualifications

• Smart and presentable appearance.
• Polite and approachable demeanor.
• Professional and able to make decisions independently.
• Vigilant for anything out of the ordinary.
• Punctual and reliable.
• Be flexible for shifts.
• Able to provide 5-year checkable history for BS7858 vetting.

Responsibilities

• Provide an onsite professional security presence.
• Act as deterrent to crime, theft and antisocial behaviour.
• Protect staff, customers and property.
• Conduct internal and external site patrols.
• Open and lock ups, site patrols and respond to alarm calls.
