St Dunstan’s School in Glastonbury is seeking a Science Technician to support practical science lessons, keeping prep rooms and laboratories safe, well-prepared and engaging. You will manage equipment, assist staff and students during experiments, and ensure safe handling of materials.

The role offers a part-time contract, a clear induction, and opportunities for professional development within a developing school set in the South West.

Responsibilities

• Set up laboratories and prep rooms for practical lessons.
• Ensure COSHH and Health & Safety compliance, perform risk assessments and safety checks.
• Assist teaching staff and students during experiments and demonstrate equipment use.
• Maintain and repair apparatus, liaise with specialists for servicing.
• Monitor stock levels and manage purchasing of supplies, with secure storage for hazardous materials.
