Job summary

Featherby Partnership Schools, part of the Maritime Academy Trust, are seeking a proactive Site Supervisor to maintain safe, welcoming environments across both Infant and Junior sites. You’ll help ensure everyday operations run smoothly and support the Premises Manager in a dynamic education setting.

Your duties include minor repairs, routine inspections, contractor coordination, event preparation, and ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.

Qualifications

• Experience in site supervision, caretaking, facilities or premises management.
• Good understanding of health and safety legislation, COSHH and risk assessments.
• Ability to carry out practical maintenance tasks and minor repairs.
• Organised, proactive and able to prioritise workload.
• Capable of working independently using initiative.
• Strong communication skills with staff, contractors and visitors.
• IT literate and able to maintain compliance records.

Responsibilities

• Support the safe, secure and efficient operation of both school sites.
• Carry out minor repairs, planned maintenance and general site upkeep.
• Help maintain buildings, grounds and equipment to a high standard.
• Undertake routine inspections and report maintenance issues.
• Support contractor management and planned maintenance programmes.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and statutory requirements.
• Assist with preparing facilities for school events, performances and lettings.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide a welcoming environment for the whole school community.
