Job summary

Bishop Young CofE Academy seeks a dedicated Science Technician to support the science teaching team, maintain laboratories and assist with lessons. The role is part-time (35 hours per week) during 39 weeks plus 5 days, with a pro rata salary based on 35 hours/week.

The post is permanent, term-time only, with benefits including access to a government pension scheme and various staff perks. The successful candidate will work in a Christian ethos environment within the Bishop Young Multi-Academy

Qualifications

• Provide support to Science teaching staff
• Maintain laboratories and equipment
• Assist teachers in delivering lessons as directed

Responsibilities

• Support science teaching staff and pupils during practicals
• Keep laboratories tidy, safe and well-stocked
• Assist with set-up and breakdown of experiments and demonstrations
