Job summary

Newcastle City Council is seeking a School Meals Catering Assistant at Sir Charles Parsons School, NE6 4HQ. This term-time role is 1 x 10 hours per week, Monday to Friday 11:30am to 1:30pm, with full training provided and DBS checks required.

Working as part of the School Meals team, you will wash equipment, clean kitchens, assist with food preparation, serve meals to children, and help present the dining area. No prior experience is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Wash catering equipment and general kitchen cleaning.
• Assist with food preparation and maintain hygiene standards within service deadlines.
• Present and tidy service area, serve meals to children and describe meals.
